State Central Library Celebrated Children’s Day in Taluka libraries across Goa with a novel initiative -‘Come Let’s Read’ . The program aimed at inculcating reading habits in children brought books to life through theatrical performances based on dramas, poems, short stories etc. The performances were guided by Theatre Art teachers of Art & Culture Department.
“With ‘Come Let’s read’ initiative we want to bring kids close to books and inculcate reading habit in them. The response for the initiative is very positive,” said Pramod Mhadeshwar, Theater Art teacher, Director of Art and Culture who took was part of the program at Valpoi Taluka Library.
The programs included theatrical performance based on books including drama, poems, short stories etc and were guided by theater artists. The activities are done under the aegis of State Central Library in association with Director of Arts and Culture.
