The 4 day National AROGYA fair has been organized jointly by Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), Ministry of  Ayurveda, Yoga & Naturopathy, Unani, Siddha & Homoeopathy (AYUSH) Government of India, Govt of Goa is scheduled to start from Saturday, March 26, 2016 to March 29, 2016 at Dr. Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Indoor Stadium, Goa University Road, Bambolim- Goa.

pad Yesso Naik, Hon’ble Minister of State (I/C), Ministry of Ayush and MoS, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare will grace the occasion.  Laxmikant Parsekar,  Chief Minister of Goa will be the Chief Guest. Deputy Chief Minister  Francis D’Souza, and with  host of other dignitaries from Govt. of India and Govt. of Goa will be attending the fair.

The National Level AROGYA Fair in Goa this year is being organized with the objective of promoting & popularizing Indian Medicine Systems to the general public and update industry of the latest developments in the sector, to promote & propagate the Indian Medicine Systems namely Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha, Sowa-Rigpa and Homeopathy. Free medical check-ups, distribution of medicines and technical sessions will be organized during the fair. Approx. 15000 to 20000 people are expected to attend during the 4 day event.

The fair would be an excellent platform to promote Indian Medicine Systems & Healthy living to the general public as well as sharing the latest research work in sector and showcase the true potential of State in the sector.

The fair has been organized across various states Delhi, Bangalore, Pune, Calcutta, Bhubaneswar, Kozhikode, and has received an overwhelming response and successfully met its objective to spread awareness about Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathy (AYUSH) so as to integrate it with the mainstream healthcare delivery structure, with over 50,000 visitors, benefitting from the AYUSH systems during four days. Also attracting immense participation from all stakeholders and was visited by 7000 doctors in addition to residents, practitioners, academicians, corporates, institutes, university heads and students. Apart from the regular exhibitors there would be free clinics on AYUSH for the general public on Free Health Checkup and Counselling by specialists of Ayurveda, Unani, Homoeopathy, Siddha, YYoga and Naturopathy Prakriti Pariksha and Nadi Pariksha

Technical Sessions would be held on all days on emerging trends in industry and Live Yoga Demonstration, Demonstration of Home Remedies for treatment of common ailments and Display of medicinal plants, Ayurvedic, Unani Medicines for common ailments would be some of the attractions for all the visitors. There will also be cultural shows in the evening. Free shuttles will be running every half hour from KTC bus stand Panaji to Shyama Prasad Mukherjee Stadium for all four days
