Digital Goa, June 26 – The Goa government has announced plans to lease out the ₹35 crore Multi-Utility Sports and Commercial Facility at Campal, Panaji, to a private operator under a 10-year commercial licence. The Goa State Urban Development Agency (GSUDA) has invited bids to appoint a Transaction Advisor (TA -a specialised consulting firm or consortium) to structure and manage the competitive bidding process for selecting the operator who will operate the facility. Spread over approximately 40,000 square metres, the facility includes an natural football turf, a sports academy layout, a 400–500 sq m premium restaurant space, dedicated parking facilities and commercial branding zones. The licence agreement will require the operator to reserve the facility for 30 days every year free of cost for government events and provide a 10 per cent free-seat quota in the sports academy for underprivileged local youth nominated by GSUDA, among other conditions.
