Digital Goa, Nov 10 – Margao Municipal Council (MMC), Goa Energy Development Agency (GEDA), and Pune-based M/s GD Environmental Pvt. Ltd. have signed a tripartite agreement to set up a 10 TPD gasification technology-based waste treatment plant at Sonsodo, Margao. The project aims to tackle mixed solid waste and reduce landfill dependence and is expected to be completed by late 2025 or early 2026. Gasification-based waste treatment plants convert solid waste into syngas, which can then be used to produce energy, heat, or fuels.
