Digital Goa, June 30 – All 82 government establishments and nearly 416 private companies have come on board as on date and created apprenticeship opportunities for job seekers in Goa, informed official of Department of Skill Development & Entrepreneurship today. Job seekers interested in the fixed term apprentice training will have to register on the national portal https://www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in/ first. They can then search & apply for apprenticeship opportunity of their choice, the official added. 10,000 apprentice trainees – 5,000 in govt sector and 5,000 in private sector will be given joining letters on July 15 i.e. World Youth Skills Day. The initiative is aimed at increasing the employability of youth. In addition to on the job training of upto one year they will be paid stipend varying from Rs 8,000 to Rs 13,000 based on educational qualification, he added. Apprenticeship completion certificates will be issued by the govt and will be considered as valid experience certificate while applying for govt jobs. CM Sawant will virtually interact with youth about the scheme tomorrow at 10.30 am. Youth can connect with Swayampurna Mitras who will be available at all Panchayats and Municipalities across the state tomorrow in view of the interaction, the official added.
