Digital Goa, Nov 15 – Crime Branch arrested 12 persons from an illegally operated casino at Dona Paula. Crime Branch conducted raid on Chances Casino at Dona Paula on intervening night of 14th and 15th November and arrested 12 persons – 10 who were found betting, one card shuffler and one gaming Manager. Crime Branch said that the action was initiated ‘for operating/playing illegal live playing cards game in violation of license condition’. During the raid one table of live card gambling, 6 Lenovo Tabs, 52 playing cards, one live card shuffler, one card scanner, one Dell Monitor, one dealer monitor, one cash chip float containing different amounts of chips worth Rs 36, lakhs and cash of Rs 33,000 in different denominations have been seized. The accused have been arrested under section 3 and 4 of Goa Public Gambling Act.
