13 rescued along Goa coastline over New Year weekend

Digital Goa, Jan 2- Thirteen persons were rescued off Goa’s beaches over the extended New Year weekend. There were five double rescues reported over the weekend across Goa’s coastal belt. Three young boys were rescued at Vagator, 2 men from Gujarat were rescued at Morjim, a Kayaking couple was rescued at Palolem , 2 youngsters from Karnataka were rescued off Cabo De Rama beach, 2 male residents from Uttar Pradesh were rescued at Anjuna beach, 22-year-old resident of Rajasthan was rescued at Baga beach, an intoxicated Karnataka man was rescued at Anjuna and a 27-year-old man from Punjab was rescued at Arossim. Drishi Marine lifesavers were involved in six first-aid and medical emergencies across Goa’s coastline. Lifeguards also caught a thief and handed him over to the police after he was caught stealing a bag from a hotel guest at Colva beach.
