Digital Goa, July 1 – Social Welfare Department has recovered Rs 50 crore from 13,000–14,000 ineligible DSS beneficiaries, informed Minister Subhash Phaldesai. These include the deceased, those who moved out of Goa, or those above the income limit etc. The department now saves Rs 2.5 crore monthly, he claimed. On a live beneficiary wrongly marked dead, the minister cited human error and assured full dues with arrears.
