Digital Goa, July 14 –Government of Goa has notified formulation of a Confidential Review Committee for Maternal Deaths for the State of Goa as per the guidelines for Maternal Death Surveillance and Response. The committee will review anonymised case sheets and other relevant documents & records, to identify preventable causes of maternal deaths and initiate action to prevent such deaths in future. The 15 member committee is also expected to monitor implementation of the recommendations and suggest and amend policies and frame new guidelines as per requirement.
