Aug 6 – In a tragic incident 18-year-old worker from Jharkhand lost his life after a large tree branch fell on him while the work of pruning of trees was going on at Majorda. One of his co-worker has also been injured in the accident. The deceased is identified as Ramesh Kerkatta. He was engaged by Majorda Panchayat along with a group of other workers to prune the trees. A tree branch which was cut by fellow workers fell on Ramesh who was standing below the tree. He sustained head injuries and eventually succumbed.
