Jan 2 – Goa government’s 24 departments has not been able to complete their budget utilisation target and have been asked to fast track the utilisation, informed CM Pramod Sawant today. He said that of the Rs 1,680 crore budget allocated to these departments, hardly Rs 323 crore has been used. A significant focus was placed on addressing underutilisation of allocated budgets in todays pre-budget meeting. “Departments must ensure effective and timely utilization of resources to prevent inefficiencies,” asserted CM.
