Digital Goa, Sept 28 – Lifesavers and local fishermen brought to safety 27 crew members of a fishing trawler that capsized at the Mobor river mouth in the wee hours today. The vessel, which had suffered a mechanical failure late Saturday night, remained stranded off the beach for several hours before overturning in the early hours of the morning. Panic gripped the fishermen on board, prompting an urgent call for help. The rescue operation, lasting over an hour, was conducted by team of 10 Drishti Marine lifesavers in coordination with local fishermen, watersports operators, and Benaulim fisherman Pele Fernandes.
