Digital Goa, Jan 1 – Calangute Police and Tourist Police have busted three outside gangs arrived in Goa specially to rob tourist of their high end mobiles. Around 20 accused have been arrested and 60 mobiles worth Rs 45 lakh were recovered from them. Three gangs are from Maharashtra, West Bengal and Rajasthan-Delhi. Since Christmas, around 200 complaints of phone thefts are registered in Anjuna and Calangute. So far, police have managed to recover 92 phone with Rs 1.5 lakh. The number of phone thefts have reduced by half compared to last year and the recovery percentage has been high this year, claim police.
