Digital Goa, Sept 4 – Almost 34,000 to 35,000 vehicle owners across Goa have been booked for using tinted glasses in last 8 months, informed SP (Traffic) Akshat Kaushal. These cases have been booked from January to August this year. He further informed that 980 cases of drunken driving have also been booked this year and actions such as issuing challans, registering cases and issuing direction to Transport dept to cancel licences of repeat offenders have been taken against the violators. Incidentally, action against tinted glass vehicles had come into focus after Porvorim murderer confessed to transporting the dead body of the victim girl from Porvorim to Amboli Ghat in tinted glass vehicle last week.
