Digital Goa, Jan 2 – A 45-year-old man was killed and his wife injured after a passenger bus hit their two-wheeler at Assonora in North Goa on Friday morning. The deceased has been identified as Laxmikant Shetkar (45) of Chorjuvem, Bardez. His wife who was riding pillion has also been injured. The couple was travelling from Mapusa towards Bicholim, when the bus, coming from the opposite direction, rammed into them near the chapel close to the Assonora sports complex around 7.45 am. Colvale police have detained the bus driver, Tukaram Sawant.
