Digital Goa, Jan 4- Maternal uncle of a 16-year-old girl from Bardez allegedly raped her while she had gone to their place during school holidays in March 2023. The matter came to light when the minor girl narrated the incident to the school counsellor and requested that she should be shifted to boarding or school hostel. The accused who is 48-years old was arrested by Mapusa police after mother of the vistim complained against him yesterday. Offence Under Sec 376 IPC , Sec 8(2) of Goa Children’s Act , Sec 4,6,8 ,12 of POCSO Act have been registered against the victim.
