Digital Goa, Jan 5 – A joint team of Goa Pollution Control Board, Goa Coastal Zone Management Authority (GCZMA) and Mamlatdar along with local panchayat secretary today issued closure notices to 51 allegedly illegal establishments at Girkarwado, Arambol as per the directions of the High Court. Heavy police force was deployed during the issuing of these notices. High Court had issued an order to shut down these establishments including hotels, restaurants, rest houses etc allegedly operating without requisite permissions. The establishments are scheduled to be sealed on Monday, Jan 8. Meanwhile, next hearing in the case is scheduled on Jan 17. The owners of several of these establishments had met CM Pramod Sawant earlier. He had assured them of all legal help possible.
