Digital Goa, June 1 – A 68-year-old bike rider from Uttar Pradesh died following an accident at Porvorim. The deceased is identified as Gopal Prasad, a resident of Bastora Mapusa and native of Vrindaban, Mathura, Uttar Pradesh. The accident occurred on May 29, 2025, near the United Benetton Showroom, when a Maharashtra registered Tata Tipper truck driven by Ajay Nerurkar from Kudal, Maharashtra hit his electric scooter. Gopal Prasad was seriously injured and later succumbed at GMC Bambolim on May 31. The truck driver has been booked.
