Digital Goa, May 30 – A 68-year-old pedestrian, Joseph Baptista, died after being hit by a private bus near Old Market Circle, Margao, on Friday morning. Baptista, a resident of Borda, was crossing the road when the bus struck him, causing severe injuries. He was rushed to South Goa District Hospital, where he was declared dead. The bus driver, Irfan Shaikh of Davorlim, has been booked by Fatorda police.
