Digital Goa, Sept 9 – The Goa State Horticulture Corporation has procured 70,000 coconuts for sale at a subsidised price during the Ganesh Chaturthi period, Corporation Chairman Premendra Shet said. He informed that the sale will start from today. Yesterday, Horticulture Director Chandrahas Dessai had informed that the Coconuts, currently priced between ₹60 and ₹70 in the open market, will be sold at ₹38 each on a no-profit-no-loss basis from September 9 until the 11th day of Chaturthi. They will be available at all 17 corporation centres, horticulture shops and through authorised GSHCL vendors across Goa, he had added.
