Jan 17 – No seats at Engineering colleges in Goa will be left vacant after two years as CARES trained students will be interested in taking admissions in these colleges by then, asserted CM Pramod Sawant. Expressing concern over large number of seats at the state’s engineering colleges going vacant, Sawant exuded confidence that the impact of the Coding and Robotics Education in Schools (CARES) scheme of Goa govt will help change the trend. He was speaking at the a program organised to felicitate achiever students and launch educational resources and products of CARES. The CARES Scheme has been implemented across 442 schools in Goa and is benefiting 65,000 students, he informed. In the academic year 2024-25, 10,000 students are actively shaping their future through the CARES elective curriculum, CM added.
