Jan 23 – To combat illegal online gambling activities, the Cyber Crime Police Station, Ribandar, Goa, has blocked 61 gambling websites. Investigations into these websites have already commenced. Earlier, the Cyber Cell had blocked 96 websites, social media posts, and accounts under Section 79(3)(b) of the IT Act. Since November 2024, the total number of blocked websites and accounts has now reached 157.
