Jan 23 – One died another injured after a Maharashtra registered car veered into wrong side and rammed into a scooter. Accident happened near Uttorda bypass on Margao to Panaji Highway. Rider of the scooter Sitaram Karapurkar from Pernem succumbed to his injuries in South Goa District Hospital and pillion rider Ravindra Kumar Singh of Jharkhand sustained grievous injuries. Accused driver Prashant Gaekwad from Raigad, Maharashtra was arrested by Verna police.
