Feb 5 – A case of misappropriation of traffic violation fines by a lady police constable has come to light at Bicholim Police Station. Lady police constable Pooja Gawas has been placed under suspension for alleged irregularity in depositing traffic prosecution amount to the tune of Rs 17.30 lakh and an enquiry was ordered immediately after the matter came to the notice. The amount in question was deposited in the government account. As per outcome of enquiry further action will be taken
