Digital Goa, Apr 6 – Goa govt has notified new rules for calculation of property tax for Municipal Areas to be effective from April 1. In case of new residential building or premises, tax payable shall be at the rate of 0.15 per centum of the annual capital value of such building or premises to be assessed for tax. In case of new commercial building or premises, tax payable shall be at the rate of 0.25 per centum of the annual capital value of such building or premises to be assessed for tax. The notification shall come into force on the 1st day of April, 2023.
