Digital Goa, May 4 – Traffic will be monitored electronically through CCTV Cameras installed at 13 locations in and around Panaji and e-challans will be issued to violators based on the camera recordings, from midnight of May 22. “Electronic Enforcement u/s 136-A of the Motor Vehicles Act 1988 will be implemented in the State of Goa for detection & penalising traffic offences recorded on ITMS system from Midnight of 22nd May, 2023,”stated a release by the dept. Govt aims to deploy similar Artificial Intelligence powered systems across the state over a period of time.
