Digital Goa, Apr 1- Drishti Marine lifesavers rescued six individuals from drowning along Goa’s coastline during the extended Eid weekend. A young Russian girl struggling in rough waves at Arossim was saved, while two kayakers from Pune were rescued off Palolem after their boat took on water. A 40-year-old Kazakhstani man at Arambol and a 30-year-old Delhi woman at Ashwem were pulled from rip currents. At Agonda, a 50-year-old man from Delhi was saved using a rescue tube. Meanwhile, at Calangute, a 38-year-old Maharashtra resident sustained a leg injury in a water sports mishap and was given first aid. Authorities urge beachgoers to follow safety guidelines.
