Digital Goa, April 27 – In light of the current security situation, Goa Police has conducted extensive combing and verification operations over the last 3 days. Since April 25th , a cumulative verification of 5325 tenants and 2566 servants was conducted across North Goa,78 persons were arrested under preventive action, 345 stranger roll entries were made, 906 suspected persons were rounded up, and 34 cases were booked against unauthorized hawkers. Simultaneously, in South Goa, 2515 tenants and 433 strangers were verified, 171 individuals were rounded up, and 17 persons were arrested. Additionally, 107 hotels and guest houses were inspected, resulting in the filling of 68 ‘C’ forms and verification of 3318 persons, including foreign nationals. Alongside, coastal security measures have been strengthened. Combing operations have commenced at jetties.
