Digital Goa, April 28 – The Directorate of Settlement and Land Records (DSLR), Govt of Goa, has floated a Request for Proposal (RFP) through Info Tech Corporation of Goa (ITG) to develop an Artificial Intelligence and Machine Language-based solution for automating the issuance of Correspondence Certificates. The AI system is expected to help match old Portuguese cadastral maps with current survey plans, while reducing human intervention, improving accuracy, and speeding up the process of issuance of Correspondence Certificates under Section 108A of the Goa Land Revenue Code, 1968. Currently, officials manually trace old Portuguese cadastral plans and superimpose them on modern survey plans, a time-consuming process. The proposed AI-ML based land identification system is expected to automate the process.
