Cyber Crime Police bust Rs 2.63 crore crypto fraud; key accused arrested in Ahmedabad

Digital Goa, May 8 – Cyber Crime Police have arrested 39-year-old Ramesh Kumar Yadav from Amraiwadi, Ahmedabad, in connection with a Rs 2.63 crore cryptocurrency fraud case. Acting on a complaint by a Tivim resident who was duped between February 13 and March 19, 2025, through a fake investment scheme, police tracked the suspect after a detailed financial analysis. Yadav is accused of managing mule bank accounts and routing Rs 10 lakh of the defrauded amount, and is believed to be part of a larger cybercrime network. The victim was duped into a fake cryptocurrency trading scheme by a caller, who offered training and high-return investment tips.
