Digital Goa |,June 17 – Goa Handicrafts has invited applications from registered Goan clay idol makers for subsidy assistance to make Ganesh clay idols. The scheme aims to promote traditional clay idol making and discourage the use of Plaster of Paris (PoP) by offering a subsidy of Rs 200 per idol, for up to 250 idols of a minimum one-foot height. The assistance is provided on a first-come, first-served basis. Applications are available from June 18 to July 18.
