Digital Goa, June 27 – The state government has announced plans to frame a comprehensive policy to monitor and regulate the disposal of all types of waste—including industrial, chemical, construction, and biomedical waste. CM Pramod Sawant held a meeting of Goa Waste Management Corporation with key officials and stakeholders in this regards yesterday. Tightened measures and stricter fines will be imposed on those failing to use authorised waste management facilities, he asserted. Pointing out that of the 350 hazardous waste generators, only 50 use the designated disposal facility, Sawant warned that strict action will be taken against entities that fail to utilise available facilities.
