Rs 113 crore boys’ hostel at GMC among key projects approved by GSIDC

Digital Goa, 12, July – A new boys’ hostel worth ₹113 crore will be constructed at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, announced Chief Minister Pramod Sawant after chairing the 206th Board Meeting of the Goa State Infrastructure Development Corporation (GSIDC). Several other infrastructure projects aimed at public convenience, urban rejuvenation, and institutional development were also approved. These include the demolition and reconstruction of St. Estevam Bridge in Tiswadi at a cost of ₹21 crore, upgradation of the Municipal Market in Sankhali, and redevelopment of old government buildings in Margao—such as the Old Collectorate Building, Police Headquarters, and the Old Bus Stand—at a cost of ₹12 crore. Additionally, ancillary and maintenance works at Ravindra Bhavan, Sankhali, have been approved with a budget of ₹3 crore.
