Govt notifies pattern of assistance for non govt aided Konkani and Marathi primary schools

    Digital Goa, June 1 – Goa govt today notified pattern of assistance of non-salary grants to be sanctioned to all recognised Non-Government Aided Primary Schools which have switched over to the Regional language or mother tongue i.e. Marathi or Konkani as the medium of instruction. Non-salary grants will be 10% of salary as reflected in Receipt and Payment Account or actual expenditure incurred on admissible items, whichever is less. The grants are to paid in 2 installments subject to availability of funds with the department and are to be reimbursed on the basis of expenditure incurred for Rent, Furniture, Books, Equipment, Office Contingence etc. The grants are to be used to develop or improve the requisite infrastructure as well as a build-up resource in the School. Earlier govt used to pay Rs 400 per student per month as assistance to primary schools in Konkani and Marathi.
