Digital Goa, August 5 – Independence Day weekend airfares to the state have seen an alarming surge. According to data from travel portals, average one-way flight fares from Delhi and Mumbai to Goa for travel on August 14–15 have more than doubled compared to rates for August 7–8. The sharp rise reflects a significant uptick in demand as tourists plan their getaways around the mid-week national holiday.
