Digital Goa, August 11 – Centre has extended the Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal’s deadline by one year from August 16, 2025, to file its further report on the interstate water dispute between Goa, Karnataka, and Maharashtra. Constituted in 2010, the Tribunal delivered its first report in August 2018 but has since sought multiple extensions to address further references from the states and the Centre. Around 17 separate extensions/resets have been given to the commission till date.
