Digital Goa, August 12 – Two youth, aged 24 and 20, were grievously injured in a violent assault at Mungul on the Colva-Margao road late last night, in what police suspect could be linked to gang rivalry. According to reports, a group of five to six assailants attacked the duo who were on their way to Margao with swords and sticks, leaving them wounded. Gunshots were also allegedly fired during the incident, with police later recovering a live bullet from the scene. A car used by the victims was also damaged in the attack, with its rear windshield shattered. Both injured have been shifted to GMC hospital for treatment. Fatorda Police are investigating the case.
