Digital Goa, June 7 – Citizens from remote areas of Sanguem, Quepem, Dharbandora etc have to go through hardships to get their Aadhar card updated as they have to travel to the lone center at Curchorem to get the updation done. Huge queues are witnessed outside this updation center with people standing in line from as early as 6.30 am. At times they are asked to make multiple trips to get the work, which effectively takes a few minutes done. The center is manned by only two staff. Due to this and as the work involves good connectivity, hardly 50 to 60 persons updation work gets done on a day while hundreds continue to queue up outside the office. Citizens have urged the authorities to make arrangements for updations at more centers and also deploy more staff to expedite the work.
