Digital Goa, Sept 29 – CM Pramod Sawant today claimed that the recent parking fee hike at Mopa airport is not meant for regular taxi operators but applies only to commercial parking of private and other commercial vehicles. Earlier in the day, taxi operators staged a large protest at the airport opposing the hike.If they say blue cab parking fees are really hiked, I am ready to revert back the hike,Sawant said while addressing the issue. He also informed that he has accepted the demand of Pernem taxi operators to stop rent-a-cars from operating from Mopa airport. Sawant put a precondition that all 100 % taxis must come on counter. “Then the government is ready to listen to them,” he asserted. There should be no harassment to guests, he asserted. Sawant further said he will meet a delegation of taxi operators on October 3 or 4 to resolve the matter.
