Digital Goa, Oct 30 – Colvale Police have booked five inmates of the NDPS block at Central Jail, Colvale, for allegedly forming an unlawful assembly and assaulting another undertrial prisoner inside the jail premises. The incident occurred on October 24, when the accused inmates — Vally D’Costa, Amar Kalal, Salik Bepari, Mandrar Prabhu, and Vinod Sharma — allegedly attacked Mohammed Rehan Sharif, an undertrial lodged in Block No. III. As per the complaint, the accused assaulted Sharif with slaps, fist blows, and a mop stick, causing injuries to his face, head, and other parts of the body.
