Digital Goa, Nov 6- The Department for Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities has notified the constitution of an Assessment Board at Goa Medical College (GMC), Bambolim, under Section 38(2) of the Rights of Persons with Disabilities Act, 2016 and Rule 14A(3) of the amended Rules, 2019. The board will be responsible for medical assessment and certification of persons with disabilities. The board will be chaired by the Dean of GMC, with the Medical Superintendent as a member, along with specialists from Orthopedics, ENT, Ophthalmology, Medicine, Psychiatry, Occupational Therapy and Medical Social Work.
