Digital Goa, Nov 26 – Supreme Court has restrained a project proponent from cutting trees at its Dabolim housing project after admitting an appeal by the Goa Foundation challenging an NGT order that cleared the project. “In the meantime, there shall be no felling of trees standing on Survey No. 43/1-A of Dabolim village,” states the order. The matter, posted for final hearing after six weeks, involves a plot long contested as forest land.
