Digital Goa, Dec 14 – A scrapyard owner has accused a local resident of intentionally setting fire to multiple scrapyards at Queolossim, Cortalim allegedly over previous enmity, causing losses estimated at over ₹20.5 lakh. The suspected accused, identified as Rijayl Mustafa of Queolossim, Cortalim has been accused of allegedly setting fire to scrapyards belonging to the complainant and three others -Asif Shaikh, Athiq Shaikh and Sahid Nizami. The complainant’s loss has been estimated at around ₹50,000, while losses to the other three scrapyard owners are estimated at approximately ₹20 lakh. Verna Police said the alleged motive behind the act was previous enmity.
