Draft electoral roll published for Goa after SIR

Digital Goa, Dec 16 – Digital Goa, Dec 16- The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer(CEO), Goa, has published the draft electoral roll following the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) on December 16, 2025, with January 1, 2026, set as the qualifying date.
Electors have been advised to verify their names and details in the draft roll. Those whose names appear but contain errors can seek corrections by submitting Form 8. New voters who have turned 18 on or before January 1, 2026, can apply for inclusion by filling Form 6, while voters seeking deletion of names can submit Form 7.
Electors whose names were present in the 2025 electoral roll but are missing from the draft roll have been asked to check the ASDD (Absent, Shifted, Dead, Duplicate) list displayed at polling stations and online at ceogoa.nic.in, and submit Form 6 along with required declarations and documents. All forms are available on the Election Commission of India and CEO Goa websites, as well as with Booth Level Officers (BLOs). Online applications can be submitted through voters.eci.gov.in. For further assistance, electors can contact their BLO, Electoral Registration Officer (ERO), or call the voter helpline number 1950, informed CEO.

▪️ Enumeration forms collected from over 10.84 lakh electors, over one lakh names to be deleted from voter list
Enumeration Forms have been collected from 10.84 lakh electors, accounting for 91.56 per cent coverage, informed Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Goa, Sanjay Goel. During the Special Intensive Revision(SIR) exercise, 1,00,042 voters were found to be in ASDD list and their names have been deleted from voter list. Of these, 72,471 electors were found to have shifted or were absent, 25,574 were marked as deceased, and 1,997 electors were found to be enrolled at multiple places. He further stated that genuine electors whose names may have been affected can be added back to the electoral roll during the Claims and Objections period, which will be open from December 16, 2025 to January 15, 2026. CEO had meeting with representatives of various political parties at Altinho Panaji today. The draft electoral rolls have been handed over to representatives of various political parties.

Digital Goa, Dec 16 – The Mapusa court has extended the interim anticipatory bail granted to Arpora panchayat sarpanch Roshan Redkar and secretary Raghuvir Bagkar till December 23. Bagkar has been suspended in the Arpora night club fire incident case.
