Digital Goa, Jan 11 – Mandrem Police arrested two persons on Sunday for allegedly organising a bull fight for betting purposes at Kattewada, Morjim, Pernem, thereby subjecting the animals to cruelty. The accused have been identified as Ratan Darjee (41) and Karan Bhuinya (29), both from West Bengal and presently residing at Mardiwada, Morjim. They were arrested and later released on bail. As per the complaint filed by police in this regard, the accused allegedly organised a bull fight at Kattewada, Morjim, at 7 am on Sunday, for betting and personal gain, during which the bulls were incited to fight, amounting to cruelty to animals.
