Digital Goa, Feb 3 – Goa Cybercrime cell has arrested a man from Kerala in connection with an online investment fraud that duped a Caranzalem resident of ₹67 lakh by impersonating a reputed investment firm throug a fake trading application. The accused Anuraj R a resident of Kattakkada, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala allegedly used multiple WhatsApp numbers to lure the victim with false promises of high returns. A person from Carazalem had filed a complaint in this regards in December 2025. Police said, the same bank account was connected to four other cyber fraud cases reported in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Goa, involving a cumulative fraud amount of ₹54.4 lakh.
