Digital Goa, Mar 20 – Porvorim Police have registered an offence of circulating counterfeit currency following a complaint by a private Bank over fake notes deposited at its cash deposit machine at Porvorim. The accused has been identified as Maibuba D Yalagi (46), a resident of Yalawar in Bijapur district, Karnataka. According to the complaint filed by Branch Manager, on March 5, Yalagi allegedly deposited seven counterfeit ₹500 notes, amounting to ₹3,500, at the bank’s cash deposit machine located at Alto Porvorim.
