Digital Goa, May 24 – Pernem Police have arrested Rajesh Dabholkar from Reis Magos and registered a case against three persons for allegedly attempting to extort crores of rupees from a complainant in connection with a construction-related dispute involving a property at Morjim. Police said the complaint was lodged by 62-year-old person associated with MayFair On Sea, alleging that between October 27, 2025 and May 7, 2026, the accused allegedly demanded Rs 1.5 crore to “settle” issues related to construction carried out by his company, later escalating the demand to Rs 5.5 crore after he refused. Police have arrested Rajesh Dabholkar and booked Advino Fernandes, Praveen D’Lima, and other unknown persons. They are also accused of allegedly threatening the complainant and workers, and unlawfully using a drone after trespassing into the property to record visuals, causing fear among occupants.
