Sixth accused in Dona Paula–Mapusa dacoity cases brought to Goa

Digital Goa, June 3 – Goa Crime Branch has brought Mohammad Nazir, a Bangladeshi national and the sixth accused in the 2025-26 Dona Paula and Mapusa dacoity cases, to Goa on a transfer warrant from Delhi. Nazir was arrested in a joint operation by the Goa Police and the Delhi Special Cell. He was produced before a court in Delhi and subsequently transferred to Goa for further investigation. Earlier, on April 30, the Crime Branch had brought five other Bangladeshi nationals arrested in connection with the dacoity cases to Goa. They were identified as Noor Islam alias Nadim Khan, Suman Hauldhar alias Pannu, Saifful Islam, Zakir Haldar and Sohail Sheikh.
