Digital Goa, June 9 – CMPramod Sawant today asserted that the Goa govt is fully prepared to defend the Mhaje Ghar scheme in court, regardless of who has challenged it. Speaking to media persons after distributing Ownership Rights Certificates (Sanads) to beneficiaries under the Mhaje Ghar Scheme in North Goa in an event in Panaji, Sawant said the government’s legal team is strong and will fight the case effectively. Responding to questions on the court challenge to the scheme, Sawant said he would reveal at the appropriate time who is behind the litigation.
Speaking at the event, CM said that through the landmark Mhaje Ghar initiative, his Government is ensuring rightful recognition, occupancy rights and simplified pathways for regularisation for genuine Goan families, while resolving long-pending housing concerns with transparency and compassion.
